Case Study 2
This was an unusual brief for Original, as the client, who was undertaking major renovation of a whole house, was overseas for 90% of the time.
The client was looking for a modern/clean look that would also suit the needs of her young family. She opted for the Miele high gloss white kitchen with Miele and Sub Zero appliances. The cupboards contrast beautifully with the oak floor which was double smoked to provide a patina of age. As the ceilings were very high in the kitchen, one wall could accommodate a bank of appliances. A large island unit was then placed one third of the way across the room – with space for stools to one side of the island but still leaving room for a table.
The full length window which was reinstated in one side of the room allows plenty of light in. This bounces off the high gloss cabinets and granite work surfaces helping to create a bright and inviting environment.
